  • Do you work with children?
Yes. I am passionate about supporting youth of all ages. I began working with children in a professional role when I was still a child, myself. After I graduated high school at age 17, I immediately began working as the Therapist Assistant for my mom, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, as she provided group therapy to youth. The program focused on integration through play in nature, and was one of the most unique jobs I have ever had. After graduating from the University of North Dakota in 2003, my first RN position was in a maternal child health unit, where I could be caring for pediatric or labor/delivery/postpartum patients, and when I transitioned into orthopedics, casting, splinting, and assisting in pediatric surgeries were a commonality. I taught sibling classes in our Maternal Child Health Department to help kids get ready to be a big brother or sister. I find it easy to connect to children and enjoy finding ways to empower them, and help them relax in a medical environment. I have extensive experience working with children who have experienced past trauma, and other mental health challenges and have always been passionate about finding ways to increase their level of comfort, or feel comfortable voicing questions. Sometimes, that might look like creating a plan to use a weighted blanket or noise canceling ear protection to help children relax during a cast removal, or developing a plan of care to increase confidence and peace / avoid triggers or fear for an upcoming medical procedure. I have a huge soft spot for childhood phobias and fears, and I love sharing the tools I used to move past my phobias of snakes and spiders. Coaching for children can compliment working with a psychologist nicely, as the work we can do, can focus more on connection and integration. Please reach out through my contact form if you have any additional questions.
  • Can you help me with specific areas of my life, such as career or relationships?
Yes, I can help you with a wide range of areas, including career development, relationship issues, health and wellness goals, spiritual practice, meditation, hypnosis, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and personal growth. As a board certification as a Holistic Nurse, a coaching session may address a specific health concern or extends to goals that surround health such as work/career, decision-making, relationships, projects, and spiritual practice. I have expertise in mind-body approaches. These approaches often go beyond logical problem-solving about the goal and are applied to the individual needs of the client. For example, techniques may involve *Movement/embodiment (essentially getting “out of the head” and into the body) somatic work *Imagery and visualization *Insight *Intuition (both the client’s and the coach’s) *Breathwork *And more
